Graeme Base, the world’s leading creator of picture books, is coming to China from 17 November to 2 December, touring ten cities across the country to talk about his brand new publications in China – The Eleventh Hour, Little Elephant and Dragon Moon, the very first story that was inspired by his China trips.
His alphabet book Animalia, received international acclaim when it was first published in 1986, and has achieved classic status with worldwide sales approaching three million copies. Other favourites by Graeme Base include The Waterhole, Jungle Drums and Uno's Garden. As a New York Times’ bestselling author, Graeme’s books have been translated into many languages. 15 of his books are available in Chinese with sales worth over 1 million AUD. The brand new book called Dragon Moon will be launched during Shanghai Children’s Book Fair this year, making him the very first Australian to publish a title in China first before Australia.
