Beijing, China

Being the Country of Honour will provide a platform to showcase Australia’s high-quality exports and create greater opportunities for Australian and Chinese companies to work together to mutual benefit.

While individual Australian companies have participated in previous years, 2026 marks Australia’s first official national-level participation. The Australian delegation led by the Smart Energy Council, will highlight capabilities in smart and clean energy, showcasing innovative technology and sustainable solutions alongside smart agriculture, health and services.

"China is Australia’s largest trading partner and our role as Country of Honour reflects our status as a clean, green, and dependable trading partner," said Dominic Trindade, Minister (Commercial) at the Australian Embassy in Beijing. "We look forward to highlighting to Chinese partners the role Australia and our great exporters play in resilient supply chains and exploring new opportunities in the green economy."

The Australian Government remains committed to supporting exporters.
