It is currently peak season for Visitor visa application lodgements at Australian Visa Offices in China.
If you wish to travel to Australia during or before the Spring Festival, you should apply for your visa online at ImmiAccount as early as possible to avoid disappointment – preferably at least 6 weeks before your intended travel date.
Applicants who lodge online early and provide all supporting documents are more likely to receive their visa outcome result in time for their intended travel date. Remember to lodge a complete application with all supporting documents. In most cases, we make a decision using the information provided when an application is lodged and we will not ask for more information.
You can check current Global Visa Processing Times on our website. Visitors are encouraged to apply by Friday 5 January 2024 to provide sufficient time for processing before the Spring Festival holiday.
Please note that actual processing times vary due to individual circumstances and this may mean that a visa application is finalised later than expected or may be refused.
Please note that Australian Visa Offices in China will be closed from Monday 25 to Wednesday 27 December 2023 and on Monday 1 January 2024. We will not be able to respond to any enquiries or process any visa applications (including fast-tracked visa applications), on these days. However, even when our offices are closed, you can still apply for a visa online quickly and easily 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
