Australia: A strong UN record and a vision for the future

Prime Minister Julia Gillard says commitment to the United Nations is one of the three pillars of Australia’s foreign policy. Australia is a founding member of the organisation.

The values of the United Nations Charter are central to how we conduct ourselves on the world stage and we strongly support the rules-based international order which the Charter underpins.
