Travelling to Australia during Spring Festival? You should have applied by now!

If you are planning to travel to Australia during or before the Spring Festival holidays, you should have applied for your visa by now.

If you have not yet applied for a visa, you can still make your application online at ImmiAccount. The current global visa processing time for Visitor (Tourist stream) visas is up to 27 days. To avoid disappointment, apply now as Spring Festival is about a month away!

If you need to travel urgently, and have not yet applied for a visa, you may consider using the Fast Track option. This is a premium service providing priority processing to certain Visitor visa (subclass 600) applicants and is subject to an additional fee. You can select this option in ImmiAccount when you lodge your application.

If you have already applied and are waiting for your visa outcome, please do not contact us to enquire about your application. Status enquiries for non-urgent applications divert resources away from processing visas and can cause further delays. We will contact you if we require more information, or when we make a decision on your application.

Please note that actual processing times can vary due to individual circumstances including complex cases, incomplete applications and external checks. We will not be liable for any financial loss if a visa application is finalised later than expected or where an application is unsuccessful.

Please note that the Visa Offices in China will soon be closed from Wednesday 25 to Friday 27 December for Christmas and on Wednesday 1 January for New Year. We will not respond to any enquiries or process any visa applications (including fast-tracked visa applications), however you can still use our online services during this time.
